What do you think of regular live music in a hospital and in a cancer treatment ward? The Stairwell Project has been doing just that at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital under the able management of Peter Breen from Jugglers Art Space.
For the past 5 months a dedicated group of professionaly trained musicians have been playing PRO BONO in the stairwell, foyer, cafe area and the outpatient cancer treatment wards of the RBWH and they are very keen to continue. The effect is overwhelmingly uplifting and positive. Earlier in one session in November 2015, Kay S Lawrence and Sara Manser drew on the windows and wall of the stairwell in response to the music.
